Event 1: Preparing to Lead DOE Projects


Defining project leadership for large, complex projects – in general and in the DOE context.

Session Description

This session will kick-off the 12-month PLI cohort experience.  The session is a combination of DOE speakers and the first of three taught by Stanford instructors.  This strategy course teaches you a framework for strategic execution that incorporates a variety of proven approaches and emerging concepts to align project initiatives with strategic objectives.  The DOE speakers will provide the context for the current DOE project management approach.  The session will be a combination of lectures, experiential learning exercises and cohort activities.  Pre-readings will be required and the year-long PLI capstone course will be assigned. 

Professional Development Units (PDUs)

The curriculum in this course will be mapped to the PMI® Talent Triangle. Participation earns you PDUs to maintain Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.
